What formats can I convert between?
You can convert any browser-supported video (MP4, WebM, MOV) to WebM, MP4, or GIF output. WebM uses VP9 codec, MP4 uses H.264 (where supported), and GIF uses a standard 256-colour palette.
Does this upload my video to a server?
No. All processing is done locally in your browser using the Canvas API and MediaRecorder. Your video never leaves your device.
Why is the output sometimes larger?
Converting between formats may increase file size if the source was already highly compressed. Use the Quality setting to control output bitrate and keep files small.
Is there a file size or duration limit?
There's no hard limit, but very large or long videos may slow your browser. We recommend files under 200 MB and clips under 5 minutes for the best experience.
